The 2020 Orbea Occam

Orbea parked in front of CBBOrbea will be here this weekend (March 14-15) with their fleet of 2020 demo bikes! In that mix will be the new Orbea Occam.

If you’re at all unfamiliar with Orbea, this is a great opportunity to get to know their fantastic bikes up close and personal (for FREE). If you want to know a little bit more about the 2020 Orbea Occam, keep reading!

Let’s start with the specs for this bike. The Occam is 140mm travel with a 150mm fork option. It is a 29er with a head angle of 65.5 degrees and a 77-degree seat tube angle. The chainstay length is 440mm with a reach of 474mm. If you’re at all familiar with the Rallon, think of the Occam as the lighter weight little brother. The Occam is considered a mid-travel bike with amazing suspension, so you can pretty much do all things with it. It climbs up things like a champ and can cruise downhill just as easily. All-in-all, this is a great bike for Lunch Loops or even some of the chunkier trails at Kokopelli.

2020 Orbea Occam M30
2020 Orbea Occam M-30 Eagle

As for the builds it comes in, there are three – the M-LTD, the M10, and the M-30 Eagle. They’ve all got the Fox front and rear shocks. The M-LTD and the M10 have Shimano components (shifters, brakes, cassette, chain, and rear derailleur), while the M30 Eagle utilizes SRAM for the shifters, cassette, chain, and rear derailleur. All the builds have DT Swiss wheels and Maxxis tires, but you can configure the bike as you’d like during the build process. Also, the M-LTD and the M10 are both MyO bikes, so you can really customize the colors to suit you to a “T.”

All reports point to this being the best bike for the more technical trails in our area. If you’re unable to take advantage of Orbea’s demo this weekend, stop in to rent this sweet bike. We’ve got the Occam in Carbon and Alloy. For Alloy, you can rent for half a day ($45) or all day ($69). The carbon version is only available as a full day rental ($85). We set it up for you, so you can be sure to have the best experience possible. As always, we’re here for any bike-related questions you have. Call us or stop in.
